Our farm is nestled between the Walkill River and the northern reaches of Shawangunk Ridge and the prominent Bonticou Crag overlooking it.
We grow primarily corn and rye and have been developing our own landrace corn, a unique breed developed over several seasons from open-pollinated heirloom varietals, and uniquely suited to our soil and climate conditions.
Coppersea also planted the first dedicated European cider-pear orchard in the Hudson Valley. We expect to start harvesting fruit from these first trees in several years.
